Does anyone know where I can get a new or used input shaft gear for a 880 Oliver? The front gear is welded to the shaft and I've got to cut it off. It is a Helical gear. Thanks in advance

The shaft may well need replacing? Heat treatment may well have been compromised if it has got to welding temperature!

Well first of all has a pressure lube field kit been added to your tractor? It makes a difference. The sleeve ( bearing) the gear rotates on is also different. IF the shaft is bad you will have choices for a shaft, with Power booster or without + creeper drive and with or without pressure lube. Your turn to answer these questions. It has been probably 45 years since I have done one but that much I do remember. Questions?

John, It doesn't have the pressure lube system, no power booster or creeper gear.It did have a spacer (2 in.) between the tub and rear end. I took it out and put in a shorter shaft so I couple it up.I don't know if it had,maybe a torque converter at one time? Thanks for all the help.
