D176G waukesha ?????

Customer has a forklift with a waukesha D176G 4 cylinder engine, has hole through block and crank is junk. My question is A, anyone have one of these engines for sale or B, will a 550 size engine bolt up to replace it? I would measure to see but its not at my shop, thanks

Mike: that tells me it is in a Clark lift truck. Now you know how it goes, I had a D176G parts book from when I taught school. I never used it so I am 99% sure it is no more. However when both my boy and I were involved with Victor gaskets and Clark lift trucks I know they also used the basic D-155G engine as in a 550. There was one in the shop several years ago with that engine and I know it has a Waukesha casting number but not an Oliver casting number. If I remember right the oil pan gasket is different. Also FYI they made a few of those as direct injection diesels! That small 1.750 rod journal was there down fall according to an old Clark dealer. I would call Arrow and see if they can tell you if the back of the block is the same. I do know you could also get the D155 in the same model forklift as the 176.
