There kinda rare, don't see many, I've seen 2-70 and 2-105 also with narrow fronts before, I think one would be neat to own.

I've searched Tractorhouse before and found several 2-70 narrow fronts, but I think that's the first 2-85 I've seen.

How rare is a White 2-70 Field Boss 1980 in 4-WD. I have been told this is more rare than the narrow front. Can anyone help me on this??

I don't believe they made them from the factory with narrow fronts- just find an Oliver narrow front and slap it on- thats what I believe has been done.

i never even knew narrow fronts were even offered by white. also on the 2-70 with front wheel assist i know of a guy in northeast iowa who has one and other than that i know they are really low in number.

I'd say it's a swap out thing there is a fellow here in ohio with a 2180 turboed with a narrow front that gets down to 10500 with planetary rear end it's a smoke and fire show for sure! Old cat will sing a tune now

I ask the question here about how many White 2-70 were made in 4WD. Today I got the answer from
Mary Ann over at the Floyd County Historical Museum in Charles City, IA. She was kind enough to look up.
In 1980 only "9" 2-70 were in 4WD.

Thanks to all.
