Oliver 770 diesel identification and value

A friend was offered what appears to be a wide front 3pt hitch equipped Oliver 770 for 2000. The tires are mismatched and side shields of hood are not there. It runs and works fine. I'm not sure what the market is for these. What is it worth? (I'm in Michigan.)

Tag says spec number: 37-1660
serial number: 72252-736

Probably about right on price for around here. The wide front and 3 point add some value. Hope a regular member on here doesn't mind me saying so,but he sold about as nice a 770 as I've ever seen on a consignment sale here in mid Michigan two years ago. Narrow front and no 3pt,narrow engine side curtains were gone, brought $1700

Thanks! Does that serial number tag jive with 770 numbers? I got pictures that were a little unclear so it could have been a 660 or 880, but it looked like a 6cyl with skinny tires to me so I just assumed...

I'm not up on my spec numbers, but that serial number works for a 1959 770. A 660 would have the rounded grille like the 66 and Super 66. They didn't make enough of them to tool up to change them like they did the rest of the 3 digits.

A couple of things here. Is it a 3 point hydra hitch or a 2 point power traction hitch? Also with a 736 transmission code it has the high speed ring & pinion

The specification numbers on the tractor numbers that you are looking are: 37 is the early narrow front 770, Later were 47 and that number was changed to 247 when the plant went to computers.
The last three digits in the serial number "736": first digit is the model family, 7 is 77, Super 77 & 770.  Last "36" is the power train code. John is correct, it is the higher speed, however the tractor ride guys will tell you it's not very fast just a little over 12 MPH.

Wow, if that had been narrow front with power steering it could have been our old tractor. 770 Diesel, first style (58 i think), power booster, power traction hitch with the 3 point lower links. Was sold to a man in Dansville some years ago.

For price, there's a gasser being auctioned in Leslie right now, power booster swinging drawbar narrow hitch, low stated hours (1500) and looks pretty nice, single remote, up to $2300 at this point.

I think this tractor is over by Nashville, but I can check. I'll try to round up some pictures to post here.
