1955 OC-6 - help on checking fluid levels?

Hi there:

I"m hoping someone can help me out. I have a 1955 OC-6 diesel crawler, and am wondering if someone would be so kind as to provide me with guidance on how to check all the necessary fluid levels, as well as which types of fluids to use where?

The OC-6 seems like it"s quite a bit more rare than other types of Oliver machines, which are already rare enough! Any information or guidance that can help me put together a plan to regularly maintain the fluids on this old beast would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

The big key is the oil you use in the transmission/final drive. 50 weight Non detergent oil is recommended. Using the incorrect oil will glaze the steering bands and it will be hard to steer. Neat little crawler. You have an e-mail address. I will look up capacities over the weekend. Is it a GAS OR DIESEL and does it have a PTO and or hydraulics? J.

Thanks for the quick reply and helpful tip on the transmission/final drive oil, J.!

The OC-6 is diesel, and it has both a PTO and hydraulics.

My email address (hopefully unreadable to spambots) is jmatthews at gmail dot com... thanks again!
