Does anyone out their own an original 1750 or 1850 Special close enough to Madison, SD to bring it to the 2014 HPOCA Summer Show? We are featuring all of the 4-digit 50 series tractors. Would be great if we could have the Specials at our show. Duane and Bill Brandt brought their 1750 Special to our 2004 Show. If either of you see this, would you please contact me. If you have a 17 or 1850 Special, would you please contact me.

I thought I saw a special at the Humbolt show in 2012. But I could be confused with a misty 880. Hope to see a 2050/2150 at the show this Summer.

Pressed steel rear rims, no hydra power I believe, basically a stripped down version to compete with the deere 4000 and 826 IH. There was an article on them in the HPOCA collector a while ago.

The 1750 & 1850 Specials were built for the thrifty buyer. They were basic models without some of the options. Around $700 could be saved and Oliver built them to compete with the JD 4000 & I believe the Custom IH 856.

The 2014 HPOCA Summer Show will be held in Madison, SD at the Prairie Village Steam Threshing Jamboree Show grounds. The show will be August 22, 23 & 24. Go to www.prairievillage.org for information. Hope you can make it. Gary

I believe this 1550 would be what Oliver called their "Mini-Equipped Tractor". All of the 50 series tractors were available as Mini-Equipped models. A very short time later, Oliver introduced the 1750 & 1850 Specials. It would also be great to see the Mini-Equipped version at our Show. Gary

Have not heard the term "mini equipped", but Oliver offered a Loader Special. May be the same thing? Would be interesting to see a list of all the different versions that were offered.
