My 2 favorite things - AD trucks and Oliver tractors from the late 40s, early 50s.

No sound and surprised it is in color. Very cool watching that equipment roll off the line BRAND NEW.

AD trucks and Oliver tractors

That is too cool! I recognize the old dealership building. I believe Chris and Becky live in it now. I had a 15 combine just like that one. And unloading a brand new old style 88 off a rail car? Where are you ever going to see something like that again?

That was really cool. I love that COE Chevy. Noticed a Super 55 under the trees. Pretty cool that Chris's dad made those films. Thanks for the heads up.

Saw that on FB this morning, had to keep it for my self. Lot's of history there. Noticed that the late 40's 70 and 88 tractors didn't have a frame stripe but the 77's did.

Anyone know what mounted implement was on the 70 pulling the picker? It was red and kind of looked like an old drag harrow. Never seen anything like that before. Run it with a planter?

On that 60 pulling that number 5 one row? Looked like a weeder folded up. They used those before rotary hoes.

I'm gonna stick my neck out and say those might have been Cross. I don't know what they handled that far back, but in later years at least, they handled Gehl and Hesston.

The dealer was Vern Losey & Sons at Springport, Mich. Those films were recorded by Hugh Losey, one of the sons of the orginal dealer, and grandfather of Chris Losey. The films are all older than I am.

I am probably one of only a few people who is still alive that actually rode in that Cab over Chevrolet truck. They used it for a good number of years,

In the late 1950's Hugh came to our farm and picked up my dad's super 88 diesel and Oliver 3-14's plow. He then took the tractor, plow and me to the Calhoun County 4-H plowing contest. I don't remember how old I was, but it was a long time ago.

The dealer also had a green Chevrolet half ton panel truck that was about the same age. They used it as a service truck and to deliver equipment. I remember when my dad bought a new Gehl chopper and blower. The equipment was displayed at the Jackson county fair. Then they hooked the blower behind the chopper and the chopper was then hooked to the panel truck and delivered to our farm.

My dad said the first piece of Oliver equipment that he bought from the dealer was an Oliver manure spreader. That was before World War two, and before I was born.

That is a pipe mounted Finger Weeder. We just bought one in a package deal will a 66 which ironically was sold new out of the Losey dealership. Arent many of those things left.
