Is there anywhere other than the brass tag to locate a serial # on a Oliver 60 standard?

Don't think so, But Waukesha stamper an engine serial number in the block. You mike want to look at that and compare it to some 60 tractors that also have serial number tags. My 2 cents worth. J.

The brass tag is the only place with the serial number. However, you can look on the bottom of the rear end housing, and there will be a casting date cast into the housing. This will tell you when the casting was done, and you can estimate the production date to be later, as most castings were aged about 6 months before being assembled.
