I have a question for someone. I recently purchased a 1950 tractor that had a front end loader on it. Before the sale they removed the loader. the loader had it's own separate control valves on it. there were 3 hoses that went to the various ports on the hydraulic unit of the tractor. When they removed the hoses they just put external plugs in each port. I know enough that the power beyond port needs attention. Do I need to add an internal plug in that port or do I need to remove a plug that was inserted to make the loader run properly. Thanks

There's a 3/8ths plug (I think) that goes straight back in toward the rear of the tractor under the left side of the seat. Take that out and you should find that there is a 1/4 inch plug that they have put in there. That has to be taken out and the 3/8ths plug put back where you took it out. It will be back in there pretty deep,a few inches anyway. If you're lucky, they used a plug that takes an allen wrench.
