Same engine as the 570 Super if IRC?
Lucky find for sure. I think you have a 570 Super also? They are a great tractor. I spent many hours on one in the 80's.

no its over 900 c.i. dfxe hercules in dozer supers had a d339h in them i do have a super but that one is a 570 whats irc never heard of it?

Thanks for posting the pictures. I've got an OC-4, and have always been interested in the bigger models. I guess there used to be a few OC-18s around here, in the logging industry.

Neil: The crawlers never got around to that newer generation of Hercules diesels except for the 3 cylinder OC-4 and the OC-9. Landis has an experiment version of the OC-12 that has that newer generation engine probably a 339 since the production OC-12 had the old style 298 while the gas models had a 339 JX yet.

Thanks guys. I was thinking of the OC-12 I guess with a 298 IRC is if I recall correctly - sorry about that! I think it should have been IIRC with hindsight, but I am not sure.

There was a gravel pit in Hayesville? Did not know that. There doesn"t happen to be a dealer sticker on it somewhere? Be interesting to know if one of the local Oliver dealers sold it new. Or did Oliver use some other distribution network for crawlers?

It probably did not help that I got it wrong the first time by missing the first "1".
How many cockshutt's do you have? I have 7 in all from a 1941 - 70 to a 1961 540 as well as 2 Studebakers - 47 Champion 4 door and a 63 Avanti. All are great fun. Just need some summer to use them all!

i have 4 in all with quite a few implements 570 super 570 with super engine bought new 550 gas bought new and 550 gas used to have 2 540 traded one for 1365 oliver and one was a parts tractor been good tractors bad front ends though broke 2 narrow fronts and a adjustable have a standard on the 570 now havent heard of them breaking probably the least desireable but i still use them so best for that have two 290 5 bottom 1 4 and a couple 280 3 bottom. chisel mowers etc.

All good Hercules powered stuff. I have a 35L and a 550 with the Hercules also. Had a 570 super since 1978, but sold it last year. Health issues pretty much dictate collecting gas tractors as there are less fumes from them.
If you had a 2150 Oliver or a 2-155 White you would have all the Hercules series.
Have a good one.
