1550 decals

I am slowing working on the 1550 I recently purchased. There were no decals left on the side plates and a previous owner had used a felt pen and written "1550 Oliver" on it. Nice work--yeah right!

Anyway I sandblasted the panels and have them repainted the correct color. Have new Dumont decals and am about ready to put them on. The panels are tapered and so is the "1550" portion of the decal. It appears that this part should start very near the end of the plate. The "OLIVER" part could be spaced several inches from the 1550 part and still be a ways away from the other end of the plate. Where do you start and how much space beteen the 1550 and O for Oliver?

Here is a photo of my 1650 decals hope this helps. I could do some measuring tomorrow if you want me to.

Those decals peal off from both sides. There's no film left when you're done. You peal the back off, place them, then pull the top facing off. What stays is only the size of what's actually printed and nothing more.

Thanks for the pictures that helps a lot! I will look in the small bag with the various other decals and see if there are any of the small orange ones that you have following the OLIVER letters.

Decals are from Dumont. Always good quality. The pictures really help. As soon as the paint cureson they go. The decals are 3 separate pieces. The 1550 part, the Oliver part, and the little orange end piece. Thanks all for the help. I will need more soon!
