White Series 3 Cab Tops

Got a White tractor with a Series 3 cab on it. The roof top is cracking up pretty bad. I called an Agco dealership and they are saying the roof tops have been discontinued. Any ideas on what I can do with this problem? Its a good tractor that I"d like to keep for years to come but if the roof is breaking up what can I do? Thanks

Is yours fiberglass? I've got a real early Series 3 and it's steel. That said,I've had real good luck with that fiberglass repair stuff if that's what you're dealing with. It's a 2 part liquid that you brush on then you put the fiberglass cloth over it and tamp it in with a paint brush. I generally use three layers when I fix anything with it. It hardens like a rock.

Yes, the top is plastic on mine. I'm just planning ahead to what to do with it. You'd think they would still have these available. I called the Agco dealership and they could still price it from their catalog at 750 bucks. Then he punched the part number in and its been discontinued. I may try to locate a metal one off a salvage tractor if ya'll think it would work fine.

As RR Lund said, the fiberglass is the easiest and best way to go. You need to do it before any of the original breaks out though. 3 plys of cloth will take the place of your plastic top and be stronger. Make sure on the top coat to use extra resin so you have a surface that's easy to sand without cutting into the mesh cloth.

I used a product called 3M flexible bumper patch 05888 to repair the cracks on the cab roof of my 9675 Agco Allis.

there is a guy that I get parts from that has a nos cab top for a pattern and he is in the process of having one molded out of fiberglass. He has one already made for a stieger that I saw firsthand and it was much better built than the factory plastic. if the ones for the white work out he was talking between 800 and a 1000 bucks. seeing as how they are no longer available this didn"t seem to bad vs having a busted up roof. I haven"t heard from him since spring he may have some by now.
