I was out plowing tonight, with my 1650 Cockshutt, when I was almost at the headland, was in 2 gear, with the T/A, in high. The tractor started to lug down pretty good, put the T/A lever into low, and just like that, the tractor stalled. I re started the tractor the tractor, released the clutch, to have the tractor, stall again. I tried to put the tractor, into Neutral, but I couldn"t move the main gear shift.
What I was wondering, could the main gear shift, be stuck between 2 gears, causing the tractor, to stall, and not being able to shift gears?
Your help, is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, Bruce.

I think the low range input gear has seized to the bushing on the top shaft. I also sent you an e-mail, let me know if you do or do not get the e-mail. J.

I went out to the field, and pulled the main gear shift lever, from the transmission. It was too dark, for me to see, what was going on. I could see, the one half, of the gear selector, was in Neutral, the other side, I couldn't tell, if it was in the forward, or back, position.
