super 99 muffler

Where can I get a muffler for a Super 99 GM that would look original?

The factory muffler is obsolite. If you can find an old book you can make one. The inlet is 3.5 " and outlet is 2.5" with built on rain hat. i found a riker muffler with the correct backpressure and inlet size but the outlet is 3.5" looks close but not exact. Duane o.

I got it from a muffler shop in my town who is a distributor for riker. I live in alberta canada.

Here"s the one I put on my 990. Most any Ag implement dealer is an A&I dealer and should be able to order it. As you can see the original application is for a Massey but the 3 7/16" inlet fits the 3-71 Detroit exhaust manifold perfectly. The inlet pipe is a little longer than original but the other dimensions are pretty close. Sounds real good too.

I made one, 3.5" inlet, 3.5" outlet, 16" shell length, 7" shell diameter. I scaled it from the photo in the front of the operators manual. the outlet should be 2 5/8 - 2 3/4 as far as I could make out, but I made it bigger because it would have been a whole lot more work to make it smaller.It wasn't a 2 minute job either!
