White 2-135 Shifting Problem

I assume this is a good place to ask this??
I have a White 2-135, not a red stripe, that has gone from bad to worse as far as the shifter being loose. I have not started to tear into it and find the problem. Any helpful hints or something I can use as a reference would be appreciated.

Check the piece that clamps too the trans shaft there ia a washer with bolt going it that wears and gets loose.

Have someone move the gear shift lever I think you will see the problem that piece is right above the side fuel tank.

There was a little looseness where you described but this was not the major fault. There is a bracket under sheetmetal in the cab which holds the shifter. this bracket was fatigued loose. I got the hot glue gun out, welder, and fixed it. Nice and tight now.
