rrlund - 1365 loader hydraulic pump question

Since I've got the 1365 up and running I've been starting to think about loaders for it. I've found a NOS Buhler/Allied loader that was made for a Mahindra tractor that looks like it would adapt nicely, and the price is right. Looking at the loader specs, it says it needs 11gpm to operate, and my operators manual says the 1365 is only a 5 or 6 gpm pump, so I'm planning to put one of those pto driven pumps on it like you have. I've never used one of those before, do you have a separate reservoir for the hydraulic fluid that runs your loader? Anything special about this kind of set up that I need to think about? Thanks.

That pump is listed on Import Tractor's web site. It says they are a replacement and not intended for tractors that never had them.

Mine has the reservoir in the loader frame, yes. I think you can see the fill plug and filter OK in this picture.

I've got a close up of it before I painted it showing where it mounts above the PTO.

Thanks. Mine has the mounting plate back there with the hole in it for a pump, it has apparently had one at some point in its lifetime, so I think I'll only need the pump itself. Do you have to have the engine rpms up pretty high to make the loader operate well, or does it run good at lower rpms as well?

It'll squeal the relief valve at around 1100 RPMs I generally run it around 1200 when I'm loading.

the prince pumps that are used with farmhand loaders will work a loader great even at low rpm. they will need a separate resivour. you might need a pto extension to get the pump to mount easily. I have 3 of them on olivers with loaders now. might have an extra pump kicking around too.

Since my white 2-60 is the same tractor. I have the white 140 loader on it. Made by KMW. My book says there was also another model for non FWA..

My resovoir is a tank mounted under the left floor panel. Pump is the same as the one pictured. The pump mounts to an adapter plate. 2 plates avail - one just a cover, then the one with pump opening. This is where the belt drive mounted as well so you can cross reference gaskets etc... Loader runs fine at 1000RPM..
