I can't get the filter to drop down. I did remove the clip. I can turn it a little bit and push up a little bit but not down..

Should it just pull down? Any tips on how/what to grab it with..

Damn, I bet this thing has never been cleaned out...

I think your 2-60 air cleaner should be just like the one on my 1365, unless its a very late model. Once you get the retainer ring off of it, you should be able to work it out, mine was stuck in there good. If you're concerned that you are going to break it, then just consider some cleaning solution and a power washing, there really isn't much inside of there that a good power washing could hurt (there is no paper element, its all metal), just don't use really high pressure really close to the element.
