Just got the last load pushed in and packed. The 1365 went right up the face of the silo pushing and packing like a native going up a coconut tree. Sure glad to be done. I wish we'd have had time to get the plastic on ahead of the rain, but I'll take what I can get.

Your silo fall over?
OR do you "northern" guys call bunkers - silos?

Just wondering out loud

Yep,we call it a bunker silo. As opposed to an upright silo. If it makes silage,it's a silo.

What would you call the feed otherwise, bunklage? lol

Excuse my ignorance, don't know anything about silos or bunkers or silage for that matter. What is that[the green stuff]?Why does'nt it rot, mildew, spoil, etc?Or does it just ferment and you end up with some happy happy happy cows?lol

It's chopped corn, the whole plant. We pack it tight to squeeze the air out, seal it with plastic so it ferments and feed it to the cattle.

They hold the plastic sheeting down. It would blow up like a big balloon without something on it.
