Have a 2 bottom mechanical lift plow with the roster comb. Its a slat bottom on rubber. Does anyone know what the model might be and if these are a common plow? Thank's, Rod.

It could be one of two different models.

When the plow hits a rock does the plow come unhooked from the tractor, or does it stay hooked and the plow bottom trips back?

The plow can not come unhooked from tractor, but I did not realize the bottoms could trip either. I will have to take a better look at it in the morn. Rod.

Your plow is a model 4240. If it has a small tail wheel it was built between 1954 and 1956. If all three wheels are the same size, it was built in 1957 or later.

Dad wanted an Oliver 4-16's like that for the 1800, finally settled for a 4-14 case, after that Oliver plows were everywhere, go figure. We pulled the Case with the 1800 and later the 970, he finally bought a 565 4-16's but it usually got put on the 1850
