clutch / input shaft bearing?

Any tips on diagnosing the new noise I have on my white 2-60.

I think it may be a bearing on the input shaft or clutch bearing. I also noticed at the same time the bushing on the clutch pedal is gone..

Worse when warmed up/hot.

When not moving:
- Disengaging clutch will make it go away.
- Higher RPM with clutch engaged will also make it go away.

Do I need to split the tractor to change bearings in tranny?

If you take the shifter cover off you can probably see the input shaft bearings well enough to tell whether they are bad or not. That would be the easiest way to rule out the input shaft bearings IMO. However, to replace either the input shaft bearings, or the throw out bearings (pto & clutch), you're going to have to split the tractor at the clutch anyway. Here are some pics of what you'll see when you get in there. I prob have some better ones at the house, but I just put my 1365 (same as your 2-60) back together this weekend, so I don't have it split anymore.

Top half of the shift forks come off with the cover, but the forks themselves won't come out unless you split the trans and the rear end and pull the shift rails out the back of the trans.
