Hart-Parr Plow share radiator Cap....Question....

A man sent me a picture today of a Hart Parr Plowshare Radiator Cap that was solid cast, not of brass, but what looks like steel (Iron). Cap and plowshare is one piece. I have only seen the brass or pot metal plowshares soldiered to pressed steel caps.

So my question is: Do you think this could have been a proto-type? The plowshare and cap are cast as one piece with a screw holding a stamped brass cross bar with rubber O-Ring behind that.

Question #2 Whose's brian child was it to use the Plowshare Cap and why? Please no guessing, looking for fact.

The answer to your first question is: The one piece cap is an orginal. Any cap that is put together with screws, or welded together are after market phoneys.

The answer to your second question: Oscar Eggan, the chief engineer (tractors) for Oliver/Hart Parr in the 1930's and 40's would get the credit.
