thanks, i found a 620 with a 19 kicker and wondered how it performed compared to the 720.

I used my 620 for about 5 years before getting a 720. I was lucky enough to find a gent at an Oliver show that had tables full of stuff He got from a dealer auction. bought a NOS complete knotter assembly for $100.00 from Him and it the newer style with fewer gear teeth. Got the other knotter changed over and it worked much better. The original 620 knotters can get fussy when conditions change just a little bit.
