Clutch/TO bearing question

Hello all, I"m new to this so forgive me in advance if the questions are to novice for some of you pros.
I"m apptempting to replace the throw out bearing on my 770 Oliver. I taking the harder route, or so says the service manual, and trying to get at the clutch w/o pulling the engine. I"ve gotten as far as removing the clutch housing bolts and am able to slide the house back enough to get at the carrier assembly. My question is how do i free the shaft so that I can begin to install the new TO bearing? Thanks in advance for your kind replies.

If it has a Power Booster the engine needs to come out. The first thing to remove is the long PTO shaft. Lookin at your throwout bearing you will also need the carrier and a pressure plate.

Thanks J. So would you say I might as well do the disc as well? Is pulling the motor really a easier option in your opinion. No PB on my 770 just looking for an opinion.

Thanks again

AB

I have done them both ways although probably 95% had a Power Booster. You had to pull the motor then. If you don't pulol the motor you can do the clutch complete in about the time it would take you to pull the engine. Questions? Post a phone number. J.
