White 2-110 air conditioner

Just had the air conditioning system on a 2-110 converted to R-134 using original evaporator. When water started running into the cab from around the environmental controls in the roof, I took a look and found where mice had chewed through the back drain hose. So I spliced a piece of sprayer hose into the ribbed hose that runs out of the back of the evaporator tank, and still it's leaking. The leak appears to be at the bottom of the hose where it fits in the tank. Anybody got any ideas?

My experience with my 2-85 is that the catch tray is not deep enough. On a hot humid day and on any kind of a hill water will overflow the tray. Maybe a 2-110 is different. My 2-85 has an after market unit. I haven"t found a fix, just wipe up the spills as they happen.

Our series two 2-155 did that, would leak threw the cab, make a mess. Figured out hose was clogged, beat the stuff out, and it quit leaking, but you sound like you have a different problem

Thanks for your attention to my problem. Seems there"s a nipple in the back of the drain tank that will only accommodate a ribbed 1/2 hose. Good luck finding some if you need it. What I finally did was splice into the ribbed hose I had left and used a fresh piece at the nipple. Then I used about 1/2 a can of Rustoleom rubber sealant to close the thing up.

So far...no problems. Keep your fingers crossed for me.
