I looked at a 1855 cockshut, tractor has cab and is complete but the 310 Engine is taken out and completely dismantled and the parts are in a heap left to rust in a open front leanto.
Owner meant to rebuild 4 years ago but never got around to it.
Rear tires are shot as well.

I wonder what would it be worth asuming the engine ain't worth rebuilding cause of the rust.????
Owner wants a grand

I have 2 running cockshutts 1855 but was looking for a third one.

Bison, I am always a sucker for these kinda things. You just know that there are lots of spare parts on that tractor for your other tractors. So even if you don't repower this one ,$1000. wouldn't go too far if you needed a tranny or rear axel, right. Bruce

Just to rub it in.
I bought 2 years ago a good looking nonrunning cockshutt 1800A with as good as new tires and a recently redone 283 diesel for $500 delivered to my yard.
All it had was a broken injection pump shaft.
$150 later it was purring like a kitten
