Oliver 1550 diesel

I am working on an 1550 diesel. Got it running today and it runs Rough and has a miss. The injectors and the pump have been to the pump shop. We cleaned the combustion chambers and checked the timing. It smokes black bad . New filters all the way around . Any help would be appreciated.

Block casting numbers 185320 and 60918a we set the timing to 2 degrees after tdc .

I will need to check my book but you might be late in time. Pull the exhaust manifold and see which clinder has the miss. What is your valve setting?

Update. Tried everything nothing worked so we pulled valve cover....... Pretty apparent where the miss was coming from. Had a badly bent push rod and 2 sticky valves. Should fix it right up. Got my fingers crossed. Thanks j I wasn't sure on the timing but will let u know when we put the push rod back in and set the valves!
