White tractors 2-85 2-105

Go0d Morning ; I am in need of a cab tractor . Doc said I needed to decrease my sun exposure or I wouldn't be so lucky next time around . I would everyone's opinion on the White 2-85 & the 105. Need to know the good and bad points of each. I have an old Oliver Minneapolis Moline dealer 15 miles that has been around 60 plus years . The old gentleman that run it and made it very successful passed away last year. It is now in his daughter & sons hands. Same kind of ability as he had. They say they are here to stay. Anyway would like to hear everyone's input. Thank You for your time and thoughts. J.T. Daugherty

The best way of putting it is they are as good as any other rig of that era. No real glaring issues with them or any chronic weak points. There were a few nice updates over the last of the oliver's and the cabs are better. Plus, they tend to be less money than a comparable JD and maybe even IH tractors of comparable size and vintage. White also made reasonable number of them so there are plenty in the bone yards if you need parts.

well both have the perkins and are both very dependable however i can't remember off hand but i believe that the 105 is turbo charged, i think. cabs are nice with plenty of room with heat, ac?, radio the works.

I've had both, the 2-85 and still have my 1975 2-105, take the 2-105 over the 2-85 any day of the week and twice on Sundays. 2-85 tried hard to do my work, but the 2-105 just played with the jobs. 2-85 was 95-100 hp and the 2-105 about 125 hp.
