I have a S77 with a 1600 motor in it. It has the S77 flywheel and bell housing also but i cant get the clutch to hold up to the HP. What is everyone running for clutches, pressure plates and flywheels on this setup? any help would be appreciated. My email is [email protected] if any would like to contact me that way with their setup specs! Thanks again

when I had a 129 hp 310 in my 77 I ran an 11" Kevlar faced clutch plate on a 88 flywheel and it worked good and had light clutch pedal effort. if you look online you can find someone to set one up for you. chuck

What is the problem with an Super 88 clutch? We had to put some of those in Super 77 diesels that we put 550 sleeves and pistons in.

no, the guy that did mine is retired but I sent him the stock 88 pressure plate and clutch and he set it up for me, like I said before you will have to look online and find someone to do it. you might try South Bend Clutch in Mishawaka, In 46545. I think the phone# is 1-800-988-4345 and tell them you want the KevlarTex material and they will set you up. Good luck, Chuck
