The engine has been put into a 1650 Oliver. The other numbers under the236ua are 12419. The numbers in the casting down lower on the engine are 37112600x1. The tractor has been setting in a barn for what appears to be many years. The farmer that made the conversion has long passed. The engine is free , the valve cover was not secured and when removeing it , the pushrods were all off the rockers ,with rust over everything. The timing gear even exhibited some surface rust when looking in the oil fill plug hole. The tractor is priced at scrap value. No 1 seems to know if the unit ever ran or not. The conversion really didn't look that bad. I just can't imagine that it had more power than what it replaced.

Thank you for setting me straight on some of my questions on the 236 and Olivers in general. The 1650 that is in your neck of the woods belongs to A.J.Darby . His phone # is 419 230 3362 . The directions he gave me were from Beaverdam . Take 696 north to St.Rt.12 . Cross 12 and continue north to the second road to the left , this will be road 0 . Turn left on 0 and go to the 1st road to the right . This will be 7L . AJ's place is the 6th house on the right as your heading north . He has quite a few Allis Chalmers setting around and saturday when I was there he had a 1800 Oliver setting beside the driveway . The 1650 is setting behind his shed with the Allis's setting in front of shed . Good luck and tell him I sent you , although after asking for my check back , he will probably start spouting a bunch of French , at the mention of my name ! LOL Thanks again Kenny
