Anyone know the changes necessary to install a allis 262 into a cockshutt 40 I have heard that you must change the timing cover,, is that because of the mount!!

I have the whole procedure somewhere if I can find it. Quiet a bit more to it than just the timing cover. Will e-mail it to you if I can locate it.

I can scan and email you what needs to be done. It is pretty in depth and you will need a fair amount of parts from the old engine.

my email should be open send me a message and I will send you what you need to know tonight.

aren"t you just putting the same engine in ? a 40 has standard 3 7/16" pistons and you put 3 9/16" pistons and sleeves in to make it the same as a D-19 262 ?
