The jails , police station, fire station on Sample street are all on former Studebaker land. The tractors were built at the Oliver plant on Walnut street. That building is now used as an ice skating rink. Plows, disc harrows, and other tillage machines were built at the Chapin street plant along with, row crop planters, balers and other hay tools, corn pickers, and cotton strippers, when the Shelbyville IL plant was closed. The only original building left there is the power house which has been restored on the outside and renovated inside for the headquarters of Rose Brick and Material. The Oliver Memorial is in front of the power house. Two other companies are nearby on former Oliver land. The city is working to get some more companies on the remaining open land.

Sorry about the double post, also just remembered, the last few Minneapolis Moline corn shellers, and White single gun sprinkler systems (few sold), only built one season.
