got an Oliver 60 with sparking spark plugs getting fuel to the carb and runs for a little bit the shuts off and can start it right back up don't know whats wrong.

I put a new coil and wires still nothing, tha governor seems to move and kill the tractor could that be it.

Before changing out parts willy-nilly, check to see whether it is the ignition or fuel system that is at fault.

So often people jump to the wrong conclusions without knowing the facts. A potentially expensive way to sort a problem.

Try checking for spark as it fails or try operating the choke when it gives out. Check to see if fuel drains from the carburettor for a full minute or more at full flow.

It could be the ignition coil or it could be fuel starvation. Find out first is my advice.

I'd pull the choke and see if that keeps it running, the gov. is probly just doing what its spose to, sees the engine is starting to slow down so the gov. opens the throttle more. sounds like you got crap in the tank or maybe in the needle for the carb
