Eyeing up a 1800 coming up for auction, don't know much about them any info would be great. I think it's 74 HP? is this correct? it' a six cyl. Gas.that what I know.

The 1800 tractor were built in 3 series called A, B & C. The B & C series have a 283 cubic inch gas engine and will do the 74 horsepower. The C series have better power steering and better hydraulics. The A series was made from 1960 through part of 1962. It had a 265 cubic inch gas engine and will do a little less than 70 Horsepower. The A series has a spin on oil filter behind the distributor. The B & C series have the oil filter ahead of the distributor and it is not spin on unless someone converted it. On the C series the steering wheel tilts and the throttle is on the side instead of below the steering wheel. That should help you identify the difference in the 3 series.
