I had this save in my favorites be my hard drive went . Can I replace my clutch by pulling off the bell housing without pulling the engine? If so how does this go? I do not have a belt pulley or hydro lift assy. Thanks for any help. PS I guess my pilot is gone it rattles when u push the clutch in.

Ive never done this but my neighboor told me that years ago he replaced his on his 77 diesel without pulling the engine. We did this on our 60.

Yes you can. Sounds like you have an old 77 with a bushing for a pilot bearing. We used to oil them too. Remember the long PTO shaft must be removed.

Wanna trade jobs? I'm doing one in a 2-135 White. I long for the days of putting them in the old Fleetlines right now!

We've done that as well on our Super 77. And it doesnt take that long if everything works well. Nice that a person can.
