Herc 478 ex. manifold removal

I have a cracked manifold on my 2-135 White. It is the rear section and it is leaking enough to turn everything black and I'm probably losing some boost at the turbo. Also I'm getting tired of the smokey eyes syndrome! I want to get it off to either fix it or replace it, but it looks like some of the nuts are inaccessible. Has anyone here done this? I'm thinking the water manifold and or the intake manifold may have to come off as well.

Take the water manifold off,intake and exhaust have too come off together.

Some of those manifold studs go into the water jacket. Be sure to seal the threads if they come out. WB<><.

I see some places that sell the exhaust/intake gaskets, but nobody lists the coolant manifold gaskets. Are they O-rings that I can just get anywhere? Where do you guys go to get Herc 478 gaskets and parts?

I got everything for mine from Maibach. I think those water gaskets came in the complete gasket set.
If all else fails,get some gasket material from an auto parts store and make them.

I have good luck using never seize on the exhaust part of the gasket too keep the gasket from burning out.
