70' transmission seal and shims

Can someone tell me where i can find a part numberfor the seal that goes on the shaft that comes out of the transmission and connects to the shaft that comes out of the bellhousing mine is leaking pretty good. Also i need to know how you line the engine up so the clutch shaft lines up with the transmission shaft i think this is why the seal is leaking so much I know you have to use the metal shims but i dont know how you line the two up.thanks for the help

The lining up should have nothing (much) to do with the seal leaking. There are two main reasons for a leaking seal - firstly the seal has simply given up the ghost or secondly the bearing behind the seal is allowing radial shaft movement. I would be checking that. The other less likely alternative is a groove worn at the sealing point on the shaft.
