1550 hydra power

I have got a 1550 that the hydra-power works fine in direct. When you pull the lever up or to the low side the tractor stops moving. If you push the clutch it shifts then it will drive and no slipping. Do I have a valve problem or a major internal problem?

Your sprag clutch is going out. It's a tear down to fix it.

My recently purchased 1850 did the same thing. I did a double flush with Dexron III and it works fine now.

Most sprag clutch manufacturers do not allow the use of lubricants containing extreme pressure additives. My 1850"s previous owner had installed some kind of combo oil that included this brew.
