1855 head gasket

Well this isn't the way I wanted to start off the year... Just about done plowing and the back corner of the head gasket above the starter blows out spraying antifreeze. It appears to be all external and not buring in cyl (no smoke)....
I re-did the bearings, sleeve O-rings, head gasket, adjusted valves etc about 5 years ago (probably 3-400 hrs). I know it's going to be hard to tell until I get it apart but any suggestions on what it might be?
When apart cyl petrusion etc was checked and was OK

I belive so, I know rechecked the torque about 10hrs after when I rechecked the valves. What are the odds that head bolts could fatigue? I broke a head bolt on an IH before during the retorque process...

A friend of mine had trouble with his 1855, and found out it was a poor quality head gasket. He ended up getting a head gasket from Maibachs and also o-ringed the head and no problems since.

Re-torqued after ten hours of faurly heavy running? Not good, I would have thought. Tightened hot or cold?

Little things like this can catch up with you much further down the line...

Of course bolts can be fatigued, but that is usually due to previous abuse. Any head bolt which breaks at the proper torque was clearly faulty, in my book. Inadequate clamping force is the usual risk.

The retorque wasn't after heavy running, I just checked them since I was in there adjusting the valves (too much clearance being noisy). The engine was warm not hot or cold.
