White 4-270

Over the weekend I tried replacing the yoke seal on the bottom driveshaft coming from the powershift on our 270. I pulled the driveshaft off, removed the bolt holding it onto the splined shaft, and tried pulling the yoke off. The yoke wont budge at all. I even tried using a puller and put quite a bit of pressure on it with no results. Has anyone else ran into this trouble? Could the splined shaft be twisted or tweaked enough to not let the yoke come free? My brother and I worked on it all Saturday and we are both puzzled. Any help would be appreciated.

The housing that the yoke rides in must be removed with the yoke. The yoke rides on a set of timken bearings and has a nut on the the frontside of the yoke that must be removed before you can pull the yoke out.
