1600 hydraulics for post pounder

My brother just bought a shaver post pounder, and since it came off a 1550, it's gonna end up going on my 1600. I see the return goes right into the dipstick tube, but where does it get the hydraulic power from? He had pictures of the guys set up, had a male pioneer tip sticking out the top left corner of the hydraulic unit. Since the 1600 is a little different with the steering priority valve on the front instead of the side, where do I plumb in?

Thought about that, just don't like the idea. I'd rather plumb in a live hydraulic supply that just plugs in. Also thinking about buying a loader for the tractor so we'll see where that goes.

Can't really help you with the live hook up since our pounder is run off a remote like the previous guy mentioned, but I can tell you that making fence will never be the same now that you have one. Those post drivers sure beat an auger in my opinion. Since we got ours we switched away from steel t-posts to 3x7 pointed posts for line posts. With a pounder they are easy to put in and aren't such a ground rod if an insulator breaks. Plus they make a nice looking fence!
