Hello, I took the brakes covers off my tractor to make sure i get the right size Disc (7" 29 spline). When i took the right side off everything was coverd in gear oil. Im guessing there is a seal that is leaking?? My question is is this hard to replace and what is involed in doing it?

Joe, It's not hard to do, the seal is in the brake housing. remove the actuator, then remove the housing, tap the seal out and install the new one, then reverse the process. remember to put the shims back in place. Also while your in there on the other side make sure the housing is tight. many rear housings have been ruined by running these tractors with loose brake housings. Good luck, Chuck

I got the seal out with not problems thanks for the help. There were no shims though. Also any idea on where i can find a new seal? Number on the seal is 4003 M1 C/R. Anymore help would be great thanks

Thanks guys, i went to the local parts store today and they said they had one and should be here tuesday. If it is not the right one ill give those numbers a try. Thanks again.
