Where can i find engine parts for 560 cockshutt,like piston, sleeves, rings, gaskets or bearings

Bearings: Look for a M-F dealer or maybe F-M as I think Clevite dropped them. You need to ask for bearings for either a 300 or a 318 engine like in a MF 1080. You did not say if your Cockshutt has the L-4 or the 270 D. I. engine. Do uou have the old head head gasket? Rings should not be much of a problem

I got my gasket set here. Ordered on Thursday moring and delivered Friday afternoon.

can anyone tell me the difference between the two disel motors. I need a crank and rod, piston for a 1961.

Simple: The L-4 (early engine ) was used on 1958 model 560 tractors. The injection pump has all 4 lines in a straight line comming out of the inline injection pump at the top. The 270 D. I. engine used on later tractors uses a rotary CAV model DPA injection pump.
