1800 Cockshutt

Hope someone can shed some light. i have a 283 diesel engine from a cockshutt 1650 and was wondering if it will bolt into a Cockshutt 1800. I found a 1800 in excellent condition with no motor. Any help would be appreciated and thanks in advance

the beauty of oliver tractors and engines is the ability to swap motors fairly easily. for example you can take a 1955 block and put it in an 88 frame. still you should be able to swap if not its not to hard to make new mounts.

Well considering the 1800 A diesels had a 283 cubic inch engine you should get the hint that it will work. If the 1800 is either a B or c series the engines will look alike except for the water pump pulley. The exhaust will even line up.
