I am trying to replace a clutch and the book says to remove the fuel tank and we can"t get it out. The tractor has a cab. Any ideas would be appreciated!

You can lift front of cab like said, but on our 2-85 it had a cab, same tractor we got our fuel tank out, think you should be able to get it out without lifting cab.

Took two of us 4 hrs. to get that tank off ours. I think we should have moved the engine forward about 1/2" but we were not doing the clutch.

Lift the front of the cab!
You'll have to lift it about 8 -10 inches. When I pulled the tank on my 2255 found out why--back of the tank is just under the front dege of the cab and to get that edge back far enough it'll take that much lift.
