New to world of Oliver. My Dad and I purchased this 57 super 55. What should be the paint scheme on this tractor. Also looking for a source for parts and paint

Nice little unit! I bought one just like it in August. I see you got the swinging drawbar with that one. I had to build one for mine.
On the 57,the wheels are red,the grille is yellow.
What parts do you need? Korveroliver.com is a good source for a lot of parts for those. Kent Gordon in Palestine Texas parts those out,has most everything. I needed a few parts for mine that Korves and Kent didn't have,Larry Svehlak in Taylor Texas had the rest of what I needed. They're both on here from time to time or most folks here can give you their contact information.
Enjoy! They're a heck of a nice tractor.

Here is what my 57 looks like now. It may change some when I get to the paint again. The wheel are all red, the weights are green. Your power adjust rims might be silver from new.

It sure does. I just might paint the one on the wife's like that.
I wish I had a better memory. My uncle bought a 57 or 58 in 1960. I've got the manual here with the date in it and I know it was the "improved" Super because we had an earlier one at that time and his had the key start and fuel cap in the middle of the hood, ours didn't. Anyway.......it almost stands out in my mind that the grille strip on his was red. I just don't remember for sure that far back.

(quoted from post at 22:33:18 03/24/13) Lots of people like to paint the center strip the
same color as the wheels
I did that on this tractor. On my 1955 super 55 I painted the wheels and grille strip red because I like it better that way. It was all green with a yellow grille when Dad bought it new and I didn't like it that way then either. :D

Ain't saying for a minute that what I'm seeing is correct, but did you notice on page 25 of the new HPOC Magazine in the add for the summer show, that one has a red grille strip. I like it. I think the wife's is gonna be that color.

Mike where did you purchase the paint. Also looking for wiring harness, battery box hold downs, generator and generator bracket.

I used Dupomt Imron paint. It is not cheap but with the work I put into this I wanted the paint to last. I used an epoxy primer. I use Korves for most all parts Also Kent Gordon in Texas will have alot of used stuff you may need. the battery hold down I made from scratch. If you need paint codes let me know or any other help. email [email protected]
