Thanks for your suggestion and help , am learning as i go on this tractor. Did a valve job on it and then heard this knock noise . Has plenty of oil pressure, so will probably check mains and rods while I'am in there. Bob F |

| Remember oil pressure is not affected by rod brg.clearance,Also you may want to catch all those shims when you take the rod cap off. |

| Well I did look and standard pin size on a 60 is .875 which is a common size. In fact when I did this machine work for a living we even had .003 & .005 oversize pins available. Without looking I think the little 8N Ford engines also used an .875 pin. Parts for those engine are plentiful. I should measure one of the extra rods we have laying around and make a note of the bore in the eye of the rod. J. |
