Clearing the driveway again with the 40 year old snow blower and 60 year old tractor. Its turning into a long winter in Sask.

I have a couple 40s that have very little gear noise, and a few more that sound like yours. I guess it all depends on the wear and how well the oil sticks to the gears. Nice video. I haven't seen much snow here in Northern Indiana in two years.

I know how you feel I've been moving snow just about non stop. 160 and some odd inches (thats 13+ FEET) soo far this season and its only February.

I think I can say that this McKee blower has seen at least some use every winter since it was new in 1975. Some winters a lot more than others. Used to keep a neighbour's driveway open too. Now its just my half mile and yard. Fifth and third were usually the loudest gears in these Cockshutts. High reverse too.
