770 Hi/Lo

Thanks everyone for your previous responses. I have one more question - will I have to break the tractor in half or pull the engine to work on the Hi/Lo or power booster?

Nope... Side panels come off and may want to remove the fuel tank for better access and view. Orther-wize disconnect the lever, remove the hi-lo cover, you will see the 1/4 in bolts (keep the shims and such together and don"t loose) first remove the springs then its pretty much take apart and remember how it goes back together. I simplified this a lot bt its not rocket science.

Engine gets pulled....best to get a manual. Whatever you do, remember to pull the pto drive shaft first!
