I know a few of you are in this area. When driving from Nokomis to Raymond (Montgomery county) I look south to see the smoke from Coffeen power plant, look north to see smoke from what they told me in Raymond is the Pawnee power plant. Looking on line I see this mostly referred to as the Kincaid plant near Kincaid, anyone know where it is actually located?

I believe the Kincaid plant is mothballed as well as the mine across the road. Someone else may have a better view. You also may have seen steam from the CWLP in Springfield.

Kincade is not mothballed, she is a merchant plant owned by Dominion. Are you sure it wasnt warm air rising from the cooling pond ? What was the air temp when you observed it? Chuck

I have asked three people in Raymond, they all say there is a power plant in Pawnee, on SangChrs Lake (Sangamon/Christian Counties I guess)
