Maybe someone can help me here, I'm working on an oliver 770 and I have these numbers off the block. 18522-E another is IMB-100-BN448 I can't seem to find what engine thi is. I do know is it a gas engine. Also if you could help I will need the torque for the nuts on the valve rack and the torque for the head bolts and torque pattern. Thank you Mike
 
Well I don't know why you did not post the tractor's serial number. It would have helped. I can tell you with that block casting it is an early 770 gas engine. I think I remember all the torque settings and the valve clearance, but tonight I better look in my book when I get back home. Also remember to use at least 3 steps to torque each bolt with each step in the order increasing the torque value by less than the prevoius step. Also you will need to retorque the head and readjust the valves when you do this. I can look this up in the morning for you if no one else answers. J.

I also have a specification number and that number is 37-1644

I am not sure what you mean by what engine is in the tractor. It is a 770 gas. Torque on the head is 92-100 pounds, rocker arm supports are 25-27 pounds, valve clearance is 11 cold on the intakes 16-17 on the exhausts. Other questions? On the torque start in the middle and work out, make sure the threads are clean in the block and on the head bolts. Make sure you use a lubricant on the threads and on the underside of the head bolt heads.
